Jari Litmanen

Jari Litmanen (born February 20, 1971 in Lahti) is a Finnish football player. Currently, he is playing for Hansa Rostock in the German Bundesliga. He also plays for, and captains the Finland national football team. He has been part of FC Barcelona, Liverpool F.C. and, most notably, Ajax Amsterdam squads, and can play both as a midfielder and as a striker. Litmanen became the first Finnish footballer to gain wide international fame while playing for Ajax in the 1990s. He led the Champions League in goals in 1995.
