Itabashi, Tokyo

Itabashi (板橋区; -ku) is a special ward located in Tokyo, Japan. As of 2003, the ward has an estimated population of 525,969 and a density of 16,349.67 persons per km². The total area is 32.17 km². The ward was founded on March 15, 1947. On August 1 of that year, Nerima was split off of Itabashi.
