Ise Province

Ise (伊勢国; -no kuni) was an old province of Japan including most of modern Mie prefecture. Ise bordered on Iga, Kii, Mino, Omi, Owari, Shima, and Yamato provinces. The ancient provincial capital was at Mie. The modern Tsu is the largest castle town, although there were other Sengoku period fiefs at castles like Kuwana and Matsusaka.
