International HouseInternational House (ih) is an organization of language schools, organized in the way of a franchise system. There are currently over 120 schools in more than 30 countries. The organization was founded in 1953. Teaching at the schools follows the communicative method, which focuses on student to student interaction and immediate and extensive use of new structures and vocabulary, as opposed to the teacher-centred approach of classical language teaching.
