Interlochen Center For The Arts

The Interlochen Center for the Arts is situated in Interlochen, Michigan on a 1,200 acre campus, and comprises a boarding school (Interlochen Arts Academy) and a summer camp (Interlochen Arts Camp). It was originally started in 1928 when Joseph E. Maddy established the National High School Orchestra Camp there.

The Interlochen Arts Academy is a residential high school, which claims to be America's 'first independent high school dedicated to the arts'. As of 2005, it has 300 faculty and staff, and over a thousand students.
