Information Based Indicia

--cc24.141.65.252 00:22, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)Indicia is the permanently printed box you now see on mail instead of a stamp. The box in the upper right hand corner must have the city, and state and a number that designates the location of where the mail was created or sent from. It is and indentifying number. The indicia shows the U.S. Postal Service that the appropriate prepaid postage has been paid for the mailing piece.
