Immingham

Immingham is a town near Grimsby, in North Lincolnshire, located on south bank of the River Humber. The town contains the ruins of Immingham Friary and has a memorial marking the site of the 1608 departure of the Pilgrim Fathers to flee to Holland. Nearby, Immingham Docks is a large port and industrial complex. It also contains a large railways yard and depot. Large numbers of redundant railway vehicles have recently been scrapped at Immingham Railfreight Terminal.
