is a
Tagalog
word for "mountain people" and denotes the inhabitants of the mountains of
central Luzon
. Igorot had a derogatory connotation implying backwardness and cultural inferiority. There are seven major kinds of Igorots, these are:
Apayao

Ibaloi
.
