Hydrolase

In biochemistry, a hydrolase is an enzyme that can break a chemical bond by hydrolysis. They are classified as EC 3 in the EC number classification. Peptidases (proteases or proteinases), nucleases and glycosylases are all hydrolases. The H20 ions then bind to the broken bonds to satisfy them
