Huntingdon And Peterborough
Huntingdonshire and Peterborough
was a short-lived
administrative county
in
England
. It was formed in
1965
by the merger of the
Soke of Peterborough
and
Huntingdonshire
, both very small counties, in an attempt to make a more viable administrative unit. This attempt was deemed a failure and so the area was annexed to
Cambridgeshire
in
1974
