humphrey de bohun, 2nd earl of hereford

Humphrey de Bohun (1208-September 24, 1275) was 2nd Earl of Hereford and 1st Earl of Essex, as well as Constable of England. He was the son of Henry de Bohun, 1st Earl of Hereford and Maud of Essex. He was one of the nine godfathers of Prince Edward. After returning from a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, he was one of the writers of the Provisions of Oxford in 1258. His wife was Maud de Lusignan, daughter of Raoul de Lusignan, Count of Eu. Their children were:

Humphrey de Bohun, predeceased his father in 1265.
Alice de Bohun, married Roger V de Tosny
Maud de Bohun, married (1) Anselm Marshal, 6th Earl of Pembroke; (2) Roger de Quincy, 2nd Earl of Winchester

He died in 1275 and was buried at Llanthony.
