Huchi

Huchi means fire in the Ainu language. Some claim that the name of Japan's tallest mountain, Mt. Fuji, comes from this, as Fuji was once an active volcano and is currently dormant. Another unrelated Ainu word (usually written with modern romanization as huci, but pronounced the same) means grandmother.
