Hoysala Architecture

The Hoysala architecture is the stone temple architecture of the Hoysala Empire located in the Indian state of Karnataka today. The temples are made of a very soft soapstone which is amenable to intricate carving. Hoysala architecture is exemplified in the temples of Belur, Halebid, and Somnathpur.
