House Republican Conference

The House Republican Conference, sometimes known as the House Republican Leadership Conference, is an organization for Republicans in the United States House of Representatives. It hosts meetings and is the primary forum for communicating the party's message to members. The conference has a chairman who directs day-to-day operations and who is assisted by an elected vice-chairman and a secretary. As of November 2002, the chair is Deborah D. Pryce of Ohio. Prior chairs include Richard B. Cheney, Jack Kemp, and J.C. Watts, Jr..
