Hokuto, Yamanashi

Hokuto (北杜市;-shi) is a city located in Yamanashi, Japan. As of November 1, 2004 the city has an estimated population of 44,080 with a population density of 77 persons per km². The total area is 569.75 km². The city was founded on November 1, 2004 from the merger of seven towns and villages, all from Kitakoma District.
