  1. Hoklo (福佬, pronounced in Hokkien Holo) refers to the ethnic-cultural group originating in the southern Chinese region of Fujian, and now includes a sizeable diaspora, particularly in such places as Taiwan
  2. Hoklo (福佬, pronounced 學佬 or 鶴佬) in Hong Kong, is a slang term referring to Hokkien-speaking people, or people with Hokkien/Fujianese origin. A street in Kowloon City is called 福佬村道 (Fuk Lo Tsun Road), literally Hokkien Village Road.
