Hillsboro is a town located in Loudoun County, Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 96.

Geography

Hillsboro is located at 39°11'54" North, 77°43'28" West (39.198347, -77.724391). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 96 people, 39 households, and 28 families residing in the town. The population density is 411.8/km² (1,017.9/mi²). There are 41 housing units at an average density of 175.9/km² (434.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.88% White, 3.12% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 39 households out of which 28.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.1% are married couples living together, 5.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% are non-families. 20.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.46 and the average family size is 2.75. In the town the population is spread out with 19.8% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 28.1% from 25 to 44, 30.2% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 84.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.5 males.
