Heptonstall

Heptonstall is a village in the county of West Yorkshire, England, west of Halifax. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the town of Hebden Bridge, the historic village was the scene of a battle during the English Civil War. The American poet Sylvia Plath is buried in St. Thomas' churchyard. She was married to the poet Ted Hughes who was from nearby Mytholmroyd. It is also home to the first ever Methodist church set up by John Wesley which is still standing today. The village has a population of 730.
