HepcatAlthough Hepcat was a Third_Wave_Ska band formed in Southern California in 1989, their soulful harmonies and mellow rythms were unlike that of contemporaries like No Doubt and more akin to musicians from the heyday of 1960's Jamican Ska, also referred to as the "First Wave". One of the singers, Alex Desert has also had a successful career in film and television, appearing in movies like Swingers and High Fidelity and the television show Becker.
