Note: This page is about British political leader Henry Hunt. For the U.S. military figure, see Henry Jackson Hunt. Henry Hunt (1773- February 15, 1835), sometimes known as Orator Hunt, was a British radical speaker and agitator. He advocated Parliamentary reform and the repeal of the Corn Laws. He was one of the scheduled speakers at the rally that became the Peterloo Massacre, and the incident cost him more than two years in prison. In 1830 he became a member of Parliament for Preston, but was defeated for reelection in 1833. Hunt, Henry Hunt, Henry
