Helene (Mythology)

In Greek mythology, Helene (different from Helen of Troy as well as Hellen) referred to two different people:
  1. A friend of Aphrodite's, Helene helped her seduce Adonis.
  2. A daughter of Tityrus and an Amazon. She fought Achilles and died after seriously wounding him.
