Heidelberg, Victoria

Heidelberg is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Banyule. Heidelberg lies next to the Yarra River, and its name is associated with the flowering of Australian art in the Heidelberg School. It was also the location of the athletes' village for the 1956 Summer Olympics. Heidelberg is where the Austin and Repatriation Hospital is based.
