Heatmiser

Heatmiser was a alternative rock band from Portland, Oregon consisting of Elliott Smith (vocals), Neil Gust (guitar and vocals), Sam Coomes (bass) and Tony Lash (drums). They were known for their well crafted lyrics and juxtapositions of melancholic and cheery melodies and words. The band broke up in the Fall of 1996 as Smith's solo work began gaining popularity. Sam Coomes is currently a member of the popular indie rock group Quasi.
