Hearst, Ontario

Hearst (2001 census population 5,825) is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located in Northern Ontario, approximately 80 kilometres west of Kapuskasing on Highway 11. Hearst is one of Ontario's majority franco-ontarian towns. The population is 88.9 per cent francophone. The town is home to Collge universitaire de Hearst, a federated school of Laurentian University in Greater Sudbury.
