Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center

The Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center is a library at the University of Texas, specializing in the collection of literary and other cultural artifacts from the United States, Great Britain, and France. Among its holdings are a copy of the Gutenberg Bible and the first successful permanent photograph, produced by Nicphore Nipce.
