Hans Staden

Hans Staden (b. around 1525Wolfhagen, 1579) was a german soldier and marineer, who supposedly was captive from a Brazil's tupinamba indigenous tribe. The account of his voyages and adventures in the New World (Hans Staden: The True History of his Captivity, 1557) was among the first descriptions of America's native customs, and also one of the first ethnologues writting.
