Han Chauvinism

Han chauvinism is a highly pejorative term which is used in the People's Republic of China and Singapore to refer to policies and viewpoints which favor the Han Chinese majority ethnic group in China at the expense of the other minority ethnic groups. In Taiwan, it refers to the tendency among the right-wing political elite to favour the culture and languages of Mainland Chinese over the native cultures of Taiwan, both Han and non-Han.
