Hms Queenborough (G30)

HMS Queenborough (G30) was a Q-class destroyer laid down by Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardsons Limited at Wallsend-on-Tyne on 6 November 1940, launched on 16 January 1942 and commissioned on 10 December 1942. She was manned by Australians but remained the property of the British Government. Queenborough was purchased by Australia and commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy at Sydney on 29 October 1945 as HMAS Queenborough. Queenborough
