Greenville, Westchester County, New YorkGreenville is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the town of Greenburgh, Westchester County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 8,648. Geography Greenville is located at 40°59'56" North, 73°49'13" West (40.998977, -73.820147). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.6 km² (2.9 mi²). 7.6 km² (2.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.34% is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 8,648 people, 3,368 households, and 2,377 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,143.5/km² (2,964.1/mi²). There are 3,490 housing units at an average density of 461.5/km² (1,196.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 75.71% White, 2.41% African American, 0.07% Native American, 19.75% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.59% from other races, and 1.47% from two or more races. 4.22% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 3,368 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.3% are married couples living together, 6.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% are non-families. 26.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.53 and the average family size is 3.08. In the CDP the population is spread out with 25.1% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 83.8 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $93,421, and the median income for a family is $133,108. Males have a median income of $89,226 versus $50,155 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $61,785. 2.3% of the population and 1.2% of families are below the poverty line.
