composer
of
contemporary music
. He studied with
Olivier Messiaen
in
Conservatoire
of
Paris
, and he obtained the
Prix de Rome
. In 1972 he attended
Darmstadt
summer courses taught by Karlheintz Stockhausen, Gyrgy Ligeti and Iannis Xenakis. His music is often called
spectral music
. He searched for a spectre of tone color between harmonic overtones and noise.
