Glendale Arena

The Glendale Arena is an indoor arena located in Glendale, Arizona, in the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona. The arena is home to the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL and the Arizona Sting of the NLL. Completed in 2003, the arena cost $180 million. It seats 17,500 for ice hockey. The arena replaced the America West Arena, as the home for the Coyotes, AWA which was originally built for basketball, and had to be quickly retrofitted for hockey- in fact, a small section of seats actually hung over the boards at one end of the ice - making it only a temporary solution to the Coyotes housing woes.
