Give Peace A Chance

"Give Peace a Chance" was a hit song recorded by John Lennon and Yoko Ono under the name Plastic Ono Band. It was recorded on 31 May 1969 at the famous "Bed-In" to promote peace at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal. The session was attended by dozens of journalists and various celebrities, including Allen Ginsberg, Timothy Leary and Tommy Smothers of the Smothers Brothers. "Give Peace a Chance" was the first chart-topping single recorded by a single Beatle.
