Girl Got Game

Girl Got Game (originally published in Japan as Power!!) is a manga drawn by Shizuru Seino about a girl forced to pretend to be a boy. Kyo Aizawa's father is crazy about basketball. Her father's dream was to go as far as the NBA, but due to an injury, he couldn't, so he enrolled her in a school, Seisyu High School when they moved. Seisyu was famous for two things, their cute girl uniforms and the fast and furious mens basketball team. When Kyo got her uniform, she found out that she is going to enter as a boy to get into their basketball team. The story is not centered around basketball. The story is mainly about Kyo, and how she begins to like her roommate Chiharu Eniwa. The story proceeds really fast and by the end of the first volume, Chiharu is going to find out her secret. Kyo has some explaining to do to hide her true gender. But later on, Chiharu finds out eventually. The manga is translated into English by and is available in North America from TOKYOPOP. As of this writing, TOKYOPOP has published 9 volumes in North America.
