GiganGigan is a fictional monster from the Godzilla series, and was introduced in the film Godzilla vs Gigan (1972). An avian cyborg sent to Earth by a race of alien cockroaches, Gigan was paired with King Ghidorah and attacked Tokyo. The two were driven off by Godzilla and Anguirus. Gigan returned the next year, paired with the insect god Megalon, and was again defeated by Godzilla. He later appeared in the 70's TV show Zone Fighter where he was killed in a massive explosion from Zone Fighter's missles. Gigan returned in the film as a mummified cyborg monster brought back to life by aliens and used against Godzilla twice in the film: once at the South Pole where he is decapitated by Godzilla and again in Tokyo where he fights Mothra and is decapitated by one of his own weapons that had a boomarang effect after hitting Mothra and his body is destroyed in a massive explosion when Mothra collides into it after bursting into flame. In Destroy All Monsters 2, Gigan destroyed Moscow because he's controlled by King Ghidorah who claims to be Keizer Ghidorah and Monster X.
