Ghettotech

Ghettotech is a form of electronic dance music based in Detroit that combines electro, hip-hop, techno, Miami bass, and ghetto house amongst a peppering of most other dance music styles (jungle, drum and bass, R&B) at fast tempos (around 145 to 170 bpm). It is known for it sometimes pornographic lyrical content, although many tracks aren't explicit and don't have this subject matter. The spelling and indeed the use of the word ghettotech is contentious. Other spellings include ghetto tech, GetoTek, ghettotec, and other names include bass, booty bass, tech, ghetto, ghetto shit, techno bass and accelerated funk. The ghettotech style was created by a few DJs and Producers mostly working in Detroit, with a strong influence from Miami bass and continuing influence from Chicago's ghetto house.
