Gestricia

Gestricia, or Gstrikland, is a historical Province or landskap on the eastern coast of Sweden. It borders Uplandia, Westmannia, Dalecarlia, Helsingia and the Gulf of Bothnia.

Gestricia is often called the gate to Norrland and consists of forests, mountains (about 1000 feet high) and small lakes. Smaller parts of Gestricia consists of fertile plains.

Heraldry

Main article: Heraldry of Gestricia Arms granted in 1560. As with other provinces the arms is represented with a dukal coronet. Blazon: "Argent Hurty an Elk stantant Gules attired and hoofed Or."

Since 1772, Swedish Princes have been created Dukes of various provinces. This is solely a nominal title.
