German Workers' Party
The
German Workers' Party
(
German
:
Deutsche Arbeiterpartei
, short
DAP
) was a briefly existing progenitor of the
NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers' Party)
. It was founded on
January 5
1919
by
Anton Drexler
and Karl Harrer. On
February 24
1920
was renamed to NSDAP. To fake larger membership numbers than it actually had, the party started counting their members at 500.
Adolf Hitler

October 19
1919
.
