Georges Delerue

Georges Delereue (1925 - 1992) was a renowned French film composer who worked on over 300 films. He won an Academy Award for Best Music, Original Score in 1980 and was nominated four other times. His career was diverse and he composed frequently for major avant-garde directors, most often Franois Truffaut, but also for Jean-Luc Godard's film Contempt, and for Alain Resnais, Louis Malle, and Bernardo Bertolucci, besides working on several Hollywood productions.
