Hohenkirchen

Thuringia
Germany. It is know that for a period of time Bhm worked in the town of Hamburg, where he may have studied with
Johann Adam Reinken
. He Later moved to
Lneburg
,
Hanover
where in
1698
he became the organist of The Church of St. John, a position he held until his death in 1733. Bhm is mainly known for his compositions for the
organ
and
harpsichord
, (primarily
preludes
,
fugues
, and
partitas
) many of which became a great influnce for the German composer
Johann Sebastian Bach
