Front (Soviet Army)

Front was a major military subdivision of the Soviet Army, not to be mistaken with the more general term of a military front. A Soviet front is roughly equivalent to an army or army group in British or American miltary terminology. Soviet fronts were used during the Polish-Soviet War and the Second World War.
