Freak On A Leash

"Freak on a Leash" is a song by the nu metal band KoЯn, from their 1998 album Follow the Leader (track 14). The remix version is featured on Greatest Hits Volume 1 (track 13). The lyrics have been interpreted as lyricist Jon Davis protesting against his exploitation by the music industry: "Feeling like a freak on a leash... feeling like I have no release". The award-winning video follows the path of a bullet fired from a gun, which travels past children playing and into a school. Co-directed by cartoonist Todd McFarlane, it mixed live action with Computer-Generated Imagery and animated sequences and won a 2000 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and two MTV Video Music Awards.
