Fox Television Stations Group

The Fox Television Stations Group is a group of television stations located throughout the United States which are Owned and Operated by the Fox Broadcasting Company. FTSG also produces the Fox program Cops. Fox Television Stations Group, or FTSG, was formed in April 1986. It began as a collection of former Metromedia-owned stations acquired by business mogul Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. These stations would later go on to be the pillars in the newly formed Fox Network. In the early 2000s, FTSG began acquiring (from Chris-Craft Industries and Viacom) several UPN affiliates in markets where a FOX affiliate owned by the group existed. This resulted in the consolidation of some facilites and creation of duopolies in these markets. Official listing of FTSG stations
