Ford PumaThe Ford Puma was a small 2+2 coup produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1997 to 2001. It came in four versions over the years: 1.4 L (90 bhp), 1.6 L (103 bhp), 1.7 L variable valve timing (125 bhp), and 1.7 L racing (155 bhp). The car is based on a Ford Fiesta chassis with new engines (from Yamaha), a new body, and new suspension, amongst other things. This car has only been sold in Europe. Weighing in at just 1000 kg, the relatively modest amount of power was sufficient to make the 17 L car accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 88 sec, and the taut suspension provided sharp responses and agile handling. The Puma was memorable for its launch campaign that featured the late Steve McQueen. The television commercial used clips from the movie Bullitt and cut McQueen into the modern setting of a Puma in San Francisco. External links Puma
