Florentine Cichon

Florentine Cichon was a high ranking camp guard at several Nazi concentration camps. Florentine (Flora) Cichon was born on May 3, 1921 in an unknown German or Austrian city. In eary 1944 she began woking as an Aufseherin in the Flossenburg camp near Nurnberg, Germany. Soon after she was promoted to the rank of "Erstaufseherin" or First Guard, a high ranking rank for women. In mid-1944, Florentine was moved to Auschwitz I camp in Poland, then to its subcamp at Rajsko. In January 1945, with the onset of the Soviet Army, Florentine accompanied a death march to the Venusberg subcamp of Flossenburg as the head SS woman there. She was never tried for her war crimes.
