Ferde Grof

Ferde Grof (New York City, March 27, 1892Santa Monica, California, April 3, 1972) was an American composer, pianist, and arranger. He did many arrangements for Paul Whiteman and his orchestra, the most notable being his arrangement of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. His works include Grand Canyon Suite, Hollywood Suite, Mississippi—A Tone Journey, Broadway at Night, A Symphony in Steel, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D, and Death Valley Suite.
