Faster Pussycat

Faster Pussycat was a Los Angeles hair metal band formed in the 1980s and named for the 1965 film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. Their first album, a self titled piece, was released in 1987. The band hit their high point in 1989 with their album, "Wake Me When it's Over" and its hit ballad, "House of Pain" and went gold. When grunge took over popularity in 1991, Faster Pussycat fell off the map as the genre of hair-metal quickly went out of style. Tracii Guns was briefly a touring guitarist for Faster Pussycat. Faster Pussycat guitarist Brent Muscat has also been a touring guitarist for L.A. Guns.
