F.k. MjlnerF.K. Mjlner is a Norwegian football club from Narvik. It was formed in 1932 when Sta Mjlner (until 1926: F.K. Steady 1919 Mjlner) and King Mjlner (until 1921: F.K. Freidig 1918 Mjlner) merged. The club was called Mjlner until 1994, when the name was changed to Mjlner-Narvik. In October 1997 the club merged with local rivals Narvik/Nor. The merger club took the name Narvik F.K. . In the winter of 2005 Narvik F.K. changed name back to F.K. Mjlner. F.K. Mjlner was the first club from northern Norway to play in the Norwegian top division. They played in the top division in the 1972 and 1989 seasons, but were relegated both times after just one season in the top division. With the exception of those two seasons, F.K. Mjlner stayed in the second division (level) from 1970 to 1991. 1992 saw F.K. Mjlner at the third level, which by then was called second division. They got promoted back to the second level, where they stayed for 3 seasons from 1993 until they got relegated again in 1995. They played in the second division (level 3) in 1996 and 1997, merged with Narvik/Nor, and continued playing in that division as Narvik F.K. until 2001, when they were relegated to the third division (level 4). After one season at that level they were promoted back to the second division again. But in 2004 they were again relegated to the third division. With their old name F.K. Mjlner they are starting the 2005 season in the third division. External links Mjlner
