Expedition 11 (2005) is the 11th expedition to the International Space Station, using the Soyuz TMA-6, which will stay during the expedition for emergency evacuation.

Mission objectives

During the Expedition 11 mission, Russian Commander Sergei Krikalev will exceed the record for total time in space (currently held by Sergei Avdeyev with 747.593 days). Krikalev at launch has spent 624.387 days in space. Upon landing he will have spent about 815 days in space. Expedition 11 crew member Volkov will join the mission later when STS-121 is launched on its supply mission to the ISS.
