ENGLISH (actually trademarked in all caps) was a database retrieval and reporting language somewhat like SQL, but with no actual programming or update capabilities, released by Microdata in 1973 and named so that the company's brochures could claim that developers could generate reports on their implementation of the Pick operating system using English. Apart from this marketing trick, no programming language exists that is currently used as a human language or vice-versa. However, Lojban is a human language with traits that make it a candidate for use as a programming language in the future.
