enercon gmbh

Friesian Enercon GmbH is a company based in Germany that operates in the wind turbine industry. It is leading on the German wind power market and is one of the biggest producers in the world. The turbines run without a gearbox. Their biggest model is (in Feb. 2005) the E-112, rated at 4.5 MW and with a rotor diameter of about 113 m. From August 2002 to December 2004 it was the biggest wind turbine in the world.
